Police responded to a domestic disturbance report last night, between two roommates inside of an apartment on the east side of Boston just before 11 p.m. When police arrived the gunman opened fire from the apartment on the two responding officers, which led them to call for back-up. More officers arrived which led to 9 sustaining minor injuries and the gunman dead.

During a press conference held at approximately 2 a.m. on Thursday, Boston Police Commissioner Williams Evans revealed that the two officers who were shot were transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where they were both expected to undergo surgery. No one’s identity has been revealed yet, but the commissioner said one officer has been on the force for 28 years and the other 12 years.
