That happened really fast after entering the top 10 last week. All the stars just aligned perfectly for Rae Sremmurd, Gucci Mane, and Mike Will Made It – all of who just got their first number one record.
The #MannequinChallenge has an unofficial theme song and it’s Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles”. The challenge without a doubt helped shoot the duo to the top of the charts, see massive sales, and make their song go viral in a couple weeks; despite being released in August. Oh and one of the original Beatles, Paul McCartney gave his co-sign and definitely helped the kids out a bit when he did his own #MannequinChallenge at the piano.
Rae Sremmurd told Billboard upon hearing the news:

Rae Sremmurd’s sophomore album, SremmLife 2, came out in August and debuted at no. 7 on the charts. Last week it was no. 21, but this week it shot back up to no. 5! The kids are on a roll….
