Back in July, Philando Castile was shot and killed by a Minnesota Officer during a traffic stop. His girlfriend was able to stream the whole entire incident via Facebook Live. Justice has now been served as Officer Jeronimo Yanez has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and two felony counts of dangerous discharge of a firearm.

John Choi, the Ramsey County Attorney, spoke during a press conference saying that the officer used deadly force against Castile and it was not justified. He said,

“Unreasonable fear can not justify the use of deadly force,”

After the footage had been reviewed, there has been a conclusion made that “no reasonable offer” would’ve used deadly force in that situation. Choi went on to say,

“Philando Castile was not resisting or fleeing. He had no criminal intent; he was respectful and complaint; he volunteered in good faith that he had a fire arm.”

Justice has now been served. May Philando Castile rest in peace. We will continue to pray for his family and also pray for America. This has to be stopped.
