Dez Bryant and Cris Carter already aren’t the best of friends and this back and forth yesterday will surely keep it that way. Carter was very critical of Dez yesterday during an appearance on Fox Sports “Undisputed” where he blasted him for not making enough plays to help his team all season long.

“There’s only 57 players targeted 90 times this season,” Carter said. “Dez is the absolute worst — targeted over 90 times, only caught 52 percent of those passes.”

He followed that up by saying if anyone wants to offer Dez advice, “tell him don’t DM me anymore”

As you might expect, Dez didn’t take kindly to the bashing and tweeted at Carter “man you a puppet..I’ll see you around”.

He then must’ve calmed down and had a change of heart because he deleted that original tweet and said “I apologize it’s not worth it”.

Believe me, he definitely wasn’t apologizing to Carter. He was more so apologizing to fans and teammates for ever letting Carter get to him like that. For all the things Carter was saying, even mentioning private DM convos he had with Dez in the past, he deserved to be ripped right back. Former players who become analysts always have a way of being critical of current players and thinking they can say whatever they want and there won’t be any response.

Dez did the smart thing here by letting it go. He comes off as the bigger man in the situation and more importantly he has bigger things to focus on right now, such as the Cowboys and the playoffs.
