Another day, another lawsuit! It’s YG’s turn to face the music, after a poet is claiming he owes him some dough.
YG just got hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit, after multiple reports online confirmed poet/artist Henry Richard Russell (aka Grimmis) is suing the West Coast rapper for alleged unpaid royalties for his work on My Krazy Life singles “Who Do You Love” & “Bicken Back Being Bool.”
The lawsuit claims YG promised to share the revenues of the songs with the artist once they were collected, but according to Russell that’s yet to happen. He says he’s reached out to YG several times, but he keeps denying him. The amount he’s suing for is undisclosed at this moment and we shall see how this plays out.
Will there be poetic justice?
