The Golden State Warriors reportedly reached out to the TNT network on Friday night to address the constant slander that Shaq has been throwing JaVale McGee’s way. Unless you live under a rock then you know their beef went to a new level early Friday morning as the two traded insults on twitter which eventually led to Shaq threatening to harm McGee.

Kevin Durant eventually jumped in when he threw some serious shots at Shaq in defense of his teammate. Shaq couldn’t let that slide so he responded to Durant as well.

After all the back and forth talking, the Warriors contacted TNT to see if they can resolve this issue because they feel Shaq has been doing damage to McGee’s career.

Steve Kerr acknowledged being influenced by the TNT segments.

“You think about JaVale’s career. When you’re in this position, where somebody on national TV is making fun of you night after night after night, it’s not the greatest thing for your reputation. I can tell you I had a preconceived notion of JaVale before he got here that turned out to be totally false. And a lot of that was because of what goes on with Shaq’s ‘Shaqtin’ a Fool.'”

A Turner source confirmed the discussions with the Warriors and told ESPN that “the matter has been discussed internally”

Things were really on the verge of getting out of hand so it’s probably best that the Warriors are trying to put an end to all of this. I wouldn’t expect to see Shaq joking on McGee anytime soon.
