On Tuesday, the league and PepsiCo Inc. are set to announce a 10-year, extension of their sponsorship deal that ultimately could be valued at $2.3 billion through the 2022 playoffs, making it one of the largest sponsorships to date in U.S. sports.

The deal by Mr. Rodriguez for a full-floor apartment at the Rushmore, a new building with twin 41-story towers on Riverside Boulevard, brings to an end one of the most high-profile celebrity apartment searches in years. People with knowledge of the deal confirmed that the sale price was between $5.5 million and $6 million. The apartment includes a room that can be turned into a fifth bedroom or used as a library.

The baseball team itself had 16 Madoff accounts, from which more than $90 million in fictitious profits were withdrawn and used to help fund the team’s “day-to-day operations,” according to the suit filed by Irving Picard, the bankruptcy trustee recovering money for Madoff victims.
