A few weeks ago, singer Sevyn Streeter was scheduled to perform the National Anthem at their season opener a month ago, but due to her political t-shirt, she wasn’t allowed to sing.

Last week the Philadelphia 76ers made a terrible decision to not allow Sevyn Streeter to sing the National Anthem because she was wearing a shirt that said “We Matter” across the front. They found out about her shirt only minutes before she was scheduled to sing and pulled the plug which was not only embarrassing to her but was also a public relations nightmare for the franchise (and rightfully so). They apologized shortly after and invited Sevyn back to sing whenever she wanted and it appears she accepted the apology today.

(Video) NBA: Sixers Robert Covington Left Game On A Stretcher After Being Kicked In The Head

A scary scene unfolded in Philadelphia last night during the 76ers game against the Nets. Robert Covington had to leave the court strapped down to a stretcher after possibly being knocked out by a kick to the head from a teammate. He seemed to be coherent as they took him away but prior to that he was just laying on the court. Thankfully reports indicate he spent the night in two different hospitals before being released and is now in the NBA concussion protocol.
