Degrassi Co-Creator Denies Drake’s Claim He Was Kicked Off The Show

In a recent interview with W magazine, Drake opened up about his desire to get back into acting. The Canadian heartthrob starred in the teenage soap opera Degrassi for several seasons until he says, he was forced to choose between his love for acting and his budding rap career. Degrassi co-creator Linda Schuyler caught wind of his interview and denied his allegations of being kicked off the show. Following his most recent magazine take over for THE FADER’s 100th issue Drake landed yet another major mag and is featured on the cover of W magazine. Drizzy’s cover is everything the magazine represents “high-fashion-meets-art”, and features the Toronto rapper, reimagined by several different artists in their signature style, for the project titled, “Views From the Five.” Each artist gives their interpretation of the rapper, with designs from KAWS, Jim Joe, Mike Flood and others. As interesting as the art is to see, what is even more interesting is what Drake revealed in his interview with W mag’s Lynn Hirschberg. Hit the jump for more.
