Ouch: Mariah Carey’s First Week Album Sales Are Not Looking Too Great

Poor Mariah Carey can just not win lately. The legendary songstress has been struggling with voice issues, a failed marriage, weight gain and now…. super low album sales! According to reports from Headline Planet, “Mariah Carey’s “#1 to Infinity” is expected to move 14-16,000 complete copies in its first week of release.” As of now, she’s looking at about a solid $15,000. Hits Daily Double explain that they add the inclusion of Track Equivalent Album, which would be broken down to 10 single sales = 1 album sale and Streaming Equivalent Album, 1500 single streams = 1 album sale. With that being said, that’s where they get their estimated number. Will you buy Mariah’s new album or is it over for that?
