Alton Sterling was a “great guy who wouldn’t hurt a fly” according to Glen “Big Baby” Davis, who says he knew the man who was killed on video by police in Baton Rouge.

The nation is reacting to the death of Alton Sterling, a black man who was pinned to the ground by two police officers and then shot at point blank range.  The horrific scene was caught on tape.  Police killing African-Americans has been a major topic and spark for outrage, launching protests and the #BlackLivesMatter movement.  As the bodies continue to pile up, people are no longer remaining silent.  Colin Kaepernick decided he would not stay silent either.  The San Francisco 49ers quarterback called the shooting the modern day version of lynching.
