Jas Prince Calls Off The Lawsuit Against Birdman … But Wait, There’s More

Jas Prince is on the ‘by any means necessary’ road to what’s owed. During the excessively long journey of getting the 22% of Drake royalties he says is owed to him by Cash Money, Prince has decided to take an alternative route in the battle of he-say/she-say. He’s decided to drop the $11 million lawsuit in Florida. …but wait, that’s not the end of it. Find out more after the jump.

Jas Prince Sues Cash Money For $11 Million Over Drake

Jas Prince has been at odds with Cash Money for some time now, after he reportedly never received the royalties he’s due for bringing Drake to them. At this point, it seems the only way you get your money from Birdman and co. is by suing, so I guess Jas is on the right path! The Rap-A-Lot Records heir says in the lawsuit that Cash Money was to pay him 22% of all of Drake’s royalties, net profits and other advances – which now totals up to $11 million. The tricky part is – Drake was signed to Jas’ Aspire Music Group, and Jas says Wayne and Drake’s manager, Cortez Bryant, breached the original agreement by shuffling Drizzy over to Young Money from Cash Money. Unfortunately, due to Jas’ role with Aspire (I’m unsure of what that role is,) he can’t legally sue Cash Money, so now he’s asking the court to appoint a receiver to do so on his behalf. For their part, Cash Money denies they owe Jas 22% of anything. Wonder if he’ll get his coins!

Lil Wayne’s Manager Claims That Jas Prince Chased Him With A Gun…Because Of Drake?!

Christina Milian’s former fiancé is really making an attempt to run down on folk for extra cash. I mean, extra green is always a good thing, but when you have to use a deadly weapon to obtain it, it’s probably not for you. Earlier this year, Jas filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Cash Money and Lil Wayne’s manager, Cortez Bryant. The producer is claiming that he discovered Drake and then signed him to his label Aspire Music Group, however Cash Money approached him willing to pay 22% of Drake’s advances if the rapper were to switch teams. Now, another deposition document is stating that Mr. Jas is a gun-toting bad guy looking to gain additional funds. Damn boy, Drake is making ends. You mean to tell me that your 22% ain’t paying the rent? Hit the jump for more details.
