A Wisconsin mother, Angelica Belen, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the deaths of her three children, whom she locked in a bedroom. Belen reasoned that it was necessary because she didn’t have a babysitter and needed to go to work, a job her family greatly depended on. The bad mom explained how she was raised in an abusive home and found safety behind locked doors, thus locking her children in a bedroom. While she was gone, a fire that was sparked by bad wiring in the kitchen set the home ablaze. Five year old Nayali Colon and four year old twins, Alexis and Adrian Colon met their untimely deaths during the fire.
