(Video) Sports: High School Football Player Charged With Attempted Murder After Savagely Beating Teammate

A member of Baltimore’s Frederick Douglass High School’s football team was charged with attempted murder Thursday in a brutal attack on a teammate. The attack, which left the victim hospitalized and facing surgery, was captured on video and posted online. In it, a student is seen repeatedly punching another in the head and face and then stomping on the bloodied teen’s head. In this week’s assault, Sean Johnson, 17, faces attempted murder, assault and other charges, according to the Baltimore state’s attorneys office. He was charged as an adult and held without bond Thursday. The victim was not identified. Reports say the teenager started having convulsions as he laid in his own blood. Pre-Trial Hearing Of Accused Officers In The Death Freddie Gray Begins

The pre-trail hearing for six officers accused of murdering Freddie Gray, 25, begins today [Sept.1]. Caesar R. Goodson Jr., the driver of the police van in which Gray was injured, is charged with second-degree depraved-heart murder while the others face manslaughter and second-degree assault. Judge Barry Glenn Williams listens to arguments of dismissal due to the actions of State’s Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby. Attorneys argue for dismissal due to statements made by Mosby when announcing the charges against the officers. Her role in the independent investigation of Gray’s death have “tainted the pool of potential jurors for their trial,” according to the Baltimore Sun. Find out more down bottom.

Officers Charged In The Death Of Freddie Gray Pleads Not Guilty + Trial Date Has Been Set

Judge Barry G. Williams will oversea the trial for six Baltimore officers – Officers Caesar R. Goodson Jr., William G. Porter, Edward M. Nero, Garrett E. Miller, along with Sgt. Alicia D.
