Previously reported that classically trained actor Marcus Callender would play Dr. Dre in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic “Straight Outta Compton,” it appears there have been some switches behind the scenes. That role will now be filled by Corey Hawkins, known for roles in films like Iron Man 3 and Wu Is Dead. Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson, Jr. and Jason Mitchell remain in their roles as Ice Cube and Eazy-E, respectively. We’ve also learned the F. Gary Gray-directed film’s official release date will be August 14, 2015! Can’t wait!

Looks like Oprah Winfrey has done it again. It appears that Auntie O is cooking up something, as she gathers former cast mates of beloved show, ‘A Different Word’ depicting the lives of upwardly mobile young blacks attending made up HBCU, Hillman College. “I ain’t one of the Cosby’s I ain’t go to Hillman”. Well luckily for Kanye and the rest of the world, Oprah is catching up with the cast 25 years later. The big question on everybody’s mind, will there be a reunion show? Find out inside.

I’ve recently started binge watching the Netflix original series Oranges Is the New Black and I CANNNNNNOT get enough of it. Each cast member has such an interesting story leading up to why they ended up in a women’s penitentiary together. The show reminds me of a female version of “Oz” but mixed with some comedy and WAY less violence. Some photos recently surfaced of the cast members in real life and they look almost completely unrecognizable! After a 19 year hiatus, the ‘Clueless’ cast has reunited, for the Los Angeles Film Festival free out door pre festival screening of the 1995 teen comedy! Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash and Elisa Donovan reunited for the event and the rest was history.

In this children’s tale, and revamped version of the Little Mermaid, SNL’s host for the night, Anna Kendrick a.k.a Ariel is being tormented by Queen Ursula, for her “lovely” voice.
