Shanesha Taylor is the Arizona woman who was arrested and charged with endangering her two-year-old and six-month-old children after leaving them in a 100 degree heated car so that she could go on a job interview. Now released, Taylor stops by the Today Show and talks about that fateful day and what she’s doing with the $115,000 dollars that was raised for her in a kickstarter campaign. “That money is going into a trust account for the children.” Something good has come of all this. Taylor is also advising others on how to go about things if they ever have to deal with a situation similar to her own. “The message is I understand your family is in crisis, but reach out, seek that help,” she says. “There are the non-profit sectors that have stepped up to fill those gaps and make sure that families that are in crisis are taken care of, so just reach out.” Well said. At Least 40 Shot and 4 Killed In Chicago This Weekend Alone!
This is really just tragic. Gun violence in Chicago is really getting out of hand this summer. On top of the 82 who were shot and 14 who were killed during 4th of July weekend this year, another 40 people were shot, killing 4, this weekend alone. Find out more after the jump.
