Omar Mateen’s Co-Worker Speaks Out On The Type Of Person He Was

Daniel Gilroy, former Fort Pierce police officer who once worked with Mateen has now spoken out on the type of person he was. Gilroy says Mateen was “unhinged and unstable.” Gilroy worked a shift with G4S Security at the south gate at PGA Village for several months. His hours were 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Mateen worked from 3pm to 11pm. He says Mateen made homophobic and racial remarks all the time. Gilroy actually quit his job due to the fact that Mateen began stalking him sending him 20-30 text messages a day. He also sent Gilroy 13-15 phone messages a day. The higher up’s at the job did nothing to help stop the stalking.
