The Weeknd announced his new album “Starboy LP” earlier today and shared the cover with a new haircut to boot. Tonight, we get the first single off his upcoming 3rd album featuring Daft Punk! Expect Abel’s new 18 track LP to drop November 25th. Interestingly, the Apple Music stream has a track you can’t play called “False Alarm,” which will most likely be the next single to drop soon. The Weeknd Possibly Working On A Collab With Daft Punk
An EDM website YourEDM made the connection from a Billboard Interview where Republic Records A&R Wendy Goldstein said The Weeknd and Daft Punk were working together. Goldstein said in the roundtable interview, ““We have a session coming up in two days with The Weeknd and Daft Punk.” A couple months have gone by and still no song, but, last Wednesday The Weeknd posted a picture to his Facebook wall from he studio with two silver toy figures that look just like Daft Punk sitting on top of a speaker.
