Meek Mill vs. Drake Brought Drake’s Album Back Into The Top 10 On Billboard…And Meek’s Out!

Well this is an interesting turn of events. People have been deeming Drake the “winner” in his battle with Meek Mill just off of personal opinion and social media, but it appears there are some cold hard facts to back up those claims as well! In this week’s Billboard 200 chart, Drake has climbed back into the top 10 with If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late, coming in at number 10 with 23,000 copies sold. Meanwhile, Meek – who had been in the top 10 every week since releasing Dreams Worth More Than Money in July – is now at number 12 with 20k. Looks like people are really siding with Drake on this one! As for the rest of the top 10, Migos just missed it as well with the release of their new album Yung Rich Nation, coming in at number 15 with 19k. Check out the full top 10 below!

Meek Mill Tops The Charts For A Second Week In A Row

Last week, the official new music release day changed from Tuesday to Friday, thus changing the weekly Nielsen Soundscan tracking period from ending on Sunday to now ending on Thursday. That being said, the transition week would require some adjusting from Billboard, so for the first and only time, they tracked 11 days worth of sales – though they’d already calculated 7 days of them on last week’s chart. Basically, this week’s chart is last week’s chart plus 4 extra days of sales. Next week we will be back to the normal 7-day tracking. With that, Meek Mill tops the charts again, as Dreams Worth More Than Money moved an additional 42k units in those 4 days, making his total 11-day tally 289k. Go, Meek! Check out the full top 10 below. (Note, the bold number is for the full 11 days, not the 4 days.)
