“The movie was fake, the mission was real” In Argo Ben Affleck plays one of six american officials who flee the U.S embassy to find refuge in Canada. The movie is set in 1979-1980 during the Iran hostage crisis. In order for them to survive without being spotted by Iranian rebels they decide to pass as Canadian movie directors scouting for places to shoot their new sci-fi movie “Argo”.
