They had Ross picking the winners of all the important college games today, with the headliner being Alabama vs LSU tonight. Ross picked Bama, which was received with a joyous response from the home crowd but it didn’t take long for Lil Wayne to let him know he was wrong. Ross also hilariously was gifted with pears on the set.

ESPN has decided to “suspend” their popular website “Grantland” with the word suspend really meaning shut down permanently. The news comes after months of controversy surrounding it and founder, Bill Simmons, who was fired by the network earlier this year.

ESPN, said it will not make its content available on YouTube, due to the recently announced ad-free, subscription-based offering coined YouTube Red. Therefore, as of now, if you try and go to Youtube pages affiliated with the network, you get a message that says something along the lines of “this channel has no content”. The fight between the two giants doesn’t appear that it will end anytime soon.

The world leader in sports really needs to rethink who they let publish these stupid rankings every year.

Colin Cowherd was already leaving ESPN by the end of the year but they decided to send him on his way sooner. Cowherd struck a deal to work for Fox Sports but still had the rest of his ESPN contract to finish. He won’t have to worry about that now after the network pulled him off air for his remarks about Dominican baseball players. Cowherd better hope his apology seems sincere because he was already threatened by one player.
