European Union Wins Nobel Peace Prize
The European Union has won a Nobel Peace Prize for promoting peace and democracy in Europe. The Union was awarded the prize despite the fact that they are facing their hardest time since 1950. The prize committee stated that the EU are being honored after working for six decades “to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe.” The EU has been a possible candidate for the prize for the past few years.
