Today marks the 15th anniversary of the release of Big Pun’s debut and classic album, Capital Punishment. There’s no doubting that this album set the tone for Pun’s short but legendary career. The album peaked at #5 Billboard 200 charts and #1 on the Top R&B Albums chart for two weeks, was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 1999 Grammys, and was the first Latin hip hop record to go platinum. Sadly, this album was the only album released before Pun’s untimely death. Watch an interview with Pun about the album and some music videos from Capital Punishment below. RIP, Big Pun!

(Photo) Behind-The-Scenes: French Montana – “The Gifted” Ft. The Weeknd

Coke Boy, Ciroc Boy, he could be any one at any given time. French Montana visited a warehouse in Miami yesterday to capture the visuals for his next single, “The Gifted,” featuring The Weeknd. I’m too excited about this one right here. I need this Canadian to drop an album. Drake WHO?! Frenchie had a few visitors for this shoot, including two baby tigers (#MY fave animal). French posted the pic of himself and the two fury cats on instagram, stating, “Got so high last night bought 2 baby tigers #excusemyfrench may 21.” Check out the gallery after the jump for the behind-the-scenes look.

(Video) Harlem Shake: So So Def Edition

Everyone is joining in on the “Harlem Shake” trend creating videos of their own. The Miami Heat, French Montana, Fat Joe, The Daily Show, and even The Angie Martinez show, which in my opinion has one of the best versions, got in on the action and now so does Jermaine Dupri and some of the So So Def family. Watch their version below.

(Video) Fat Joe Does The Harlem Shake

The “new” Harlem Shake is a dance craze that is sweeping the web, all inspired by the fun track from Baauer. It’s NOTHING like the Harlem Shake we know from the 90’s with Black Rob at all. In fact, it’s almost the exact opposite. So to see someone like Fat Joe partake in the festivities…quite unexpected! It’s awesome, however, that we get to watch Joe Crack dance like a robot in the studio while his friends jump around in masks. Ah, the power of social media. Watch the hilarious video below!
