There’s A 1 In 4 Chance Of Ground Beef Containing Fatal Bacteria
A new, disturbing study shows that 25% of ground meat contains a potentially fatal bacteria. The bacteria comes from the use of antibiotics on healthy farm animals and the FDA knew of the potential risk but chose not to fight against it. Senators Want The FDA To Ban Flavored Cigars!
No more vanilla Dutches, Black & Milds, White Owls or Swisher Sweets?! Some senators are pushing for the FDA to ban flavored cigars just like they did flavored cigarettes back in 2009. The senators and the FDA believe that the “candy” flavors will have more of an influence on kids and teens to smoke. The ban will lower the rate of young smokers, especially since young smokers admit to smoking cigars before cigarettes, but it will also hurt a lot of small corner stores. Read more after the jump. FDA Revokes Use Of Avastin For Breast Cancer
The FDA has revoked their approval of the medication Avastin for the treatment of breast cancer. According to the FDA, there’s no proof that the drug extends the lives of breast cancer victims and there could be major side effects. Anti Smoking Drug Can Increase Suicide Risk
The FDA has announced that Chantix, the anti-smoking drug, may increase the risk of suicide and suicidal thoughts in patients. Researchers looked at 3,000 cases of people with suicidal thoughts who were taking an anti-smoking drug and 90% of them were on Chantix.
