Find Out What Travi$ Scott’s Debut Album ‘Rodeo’ Is Expected To Sell In Its First Week!

After much anticipation, Travi$ Scott finally released his debut album Rodeo this past Friday, September 4. Though reviews from critics have been mixed, it appears fans are enjoying the project from the G.O.O.D. Music/Grand Hustle rapper/producer, and that is reflected in its sales predictions. According to early forecasts, Rodeo is expected to move between 80,000 and 100,000 units in its first week. Thoughts?

Dr. Dre’s New Album Debuted At #2 On The Billboard 200

After a sixteen-year hiatus, Dr. Dre returned to the Billboard charts last week with the release of Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre. The follow-up to 1999’s 2001 debuted at number two on this week’s Billboard 200 chart, moving an impressive 295k units. Of that number, 276k were physical album sales, while the remainder come from streaming services and single sales. Also notable on the Billboard 200 this week is the sparked interest in Kendrick Lamar and N.W.A. since the release of both Dre’s album and the Straight Outta Compton film. Kendrick’s To Pimp A Butterfly saw a surge in sales this week and jumped up to the number 29 spot with another 12.5k in sales, while N.W.A. continues to jump up the charts with their 1988 release, Straight Outta Compton. In anticipation of the film, the album returned to the charts three weeks ago at #173. Since then, it jumped to 97, and now this week appears at the number 30 spot. With the movie having just come out this past Friday, it’s likely the album will be even higher on next week’s chart. Pretty dope! In the meantime, check out the full top 10 for this week below.

Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 6/28/15 … Tori Kelly Debuts At #2!

Last week, both Trey Songz and King Los released new projects…and neither fared very well on the Billboard 200. Though Trey is very much in the public eye and constantly played on radio, Trigga Reloaded only did 17k in its first week, landing at 23. However, I do believe this was a re-release, so that’s not too surprising. Los, on the other hand, moved 8k units of his new God, Money, War, landing at 68. With no machine behind him (aka a major label), no radio play and no real promo, I’d say this is a pretty solid number. Beats Troy Ave and Tyga, that’s for sure! Also debuting this week is everyone’s new fav Tori Kelly, whose debut album Unbreakable comes in at number 2 with a solid 75k sold! Nice! Check out the full top 10 below.

The Numbers Are In! Find Out How Much Meek Mill’s ‘Dreams Worth More Than Money’ Is Expected To Sell!

After tons of delays due to unforeseen circumstances, Meek Mill finally released his highly anticipated sophomore effort this week, Dreams Worth More Than Money. Released on Sunday night as opposed to the traditional Tuesday (so as to capitalize off his appearance at the 2015 BET Awards), Meek actually gave himself a leg up on those coveted first-week sales, allowing an additional day worth of sales to be calculated. For those not in-the-know, Nielsen Soundscan tracks sales for each week from Monday to Sunday. Since albums traditionally release on Tuesdays (though that’s changing next week and will now become Fridays,) this means that the first-week sales that we always hear about are actually only 6 days worth, not 7.

Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 5/31/15 … A$AP Rocky Tops The Charts!

A$AP Rocky is now two-for-two with number one albums, as his sophomore effort At.Long.Last.A$AP. tops the charts this week with 146k units sold! This is his first release since his debut Long.Live.A$AP, which debuted atop the tally dated February 2, 2013 with 139k copies sold. Suffice to say, Pretty Flacko‘s still got it! Another big debut came from Boosie Badazz, whose first post-prison release, Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, comes in at number 3 with 64k units sold. Congrats! YIKES! Ciara’s First Week Sales Projections Aren’t Looking Too Good At All!

Looking ahead to next week, it doesn’t seem like Ciara is going to fare very well…as HDD projects the singer’s new album Jackie to do only 19-22k (21-24k SPS) in the first week. Ouch. In comparison, the singer’s last album in 2013 did 59k and debuted at number 2, fueled by the success of “Body Party.” Hopefully she’ll still get a top 10 debut at least? She probably isn’t tripping too much, though. She has a beautiful baby boy, a budding new relationship with someone who seems to be a pretty great guy, and she is KILLING it on the road! Check out a new clip of CiCi getting her Michael Jackson on during her Jackie tour. This girl can MOVE!
