Donald Glover Inks Production Deal with FX

Congratulations are in order for Donald Glover. Just days after winning not one but two Golden Globes for his original FX series Atlanta, the network has now signed him to an exclusive overall production deal. With this new deal, Donald will not only continue to write, direct and star in Atlanta, but he will also develop new shows for the network and their affiliates.

Tonight, Donald Glover’s new show, Atlanta, will premiere on FX. The show has been receiving tons of critical acclaim, with one publication even saying it’s filling the void left by The Wire. That’s huge! Rosenberg is a little sour, as he was set to have a part in the premiere episode, but lost it…because he just wasn’t believable saying the n-word. The casting directors just didn’t buy it, and of course, this is because he doesn’t say it at all in his every day life. To make himself feel better, he’s convinced himself that he would have lost people’s respect if they saw him use the word on TV, so Ebro In The Morning took calls from some of the listeners to see if this was true. As we told you in a previous post, the highly anticipated new FX series American Crime Story will feature an episode called The People v. O.J. Simpson. This season of the series is based on the trial of O.J. Simpson in the death of his wife, Nicole Simpson, and a friend where he was eventually acquitted thanks in part to his lawyers Johnnie Cochran and Robert Kardashian. The cast of this particular episode is top notch with actors like Cuba Gooding Jr., John Travolta, and David Schwimmer just to name a few. Check out the trailer after the jump!
