Prince Honored Vanity At Australian Show
Monday (February 15) we were saddened to report that Vanity of Vanity 6 had passed away after suffering from kidney failure and abdominal illness. The 57-year old singer was the protege and collaborator of music legend Prince. Last night, during first show of his Australian tour in Melbourne, Prince honored Vanity. He spoke to the crowd saying, “Someone dear to us has passed away, I’m gonna dedicate this song to her,” before performing an emotional rendition of “Little Red Corvette” mixed with “Dirty Mind,” which is reported to be one of several songs from when the two were together.
