(Photo) Man Arrested For Climbing Hurricane Sandy-Ravaged Roller Coaster

Christopher Angelo, a 38-year-old man from Lavallette, New Jersey, was arrested for doing something patriotic. The man climbed the infamous Seaside Heights roller coaster that was placed in the ocean in the wrath Hurricane Sandy to place an American flag on it. Angelo, who paddled his own canoe to the coaster before climbing it, is set to be a bit of a “daredevil” by his grandmother. I applaud the man’s efforts since the Jet Star Roller Coaster has become one of the iconic images of the post Hurricane Sandy damage and in my opinion, the flag is significant for a sign of hope to come for those who really need it. See a photos of the man on-top of the Jet Star below. Julie A.

(Photos)Pyramids In New York City After Hurricane Sandy

At first glance I couldn’t make out how these Pyramids came to be. They look like something that couldn’t possibly be anywhere near New York City, but these are actual photos of some of the cleanup from the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy and its eerie how primitive it looks. Check out the photos in the Gallery above. PaulDaPro

The Names & Phone Numbers Of The Republicans Who Voted No To The Hurricane Sandy Relief Bill

Former New York Sen. Al D’Amato ripped into the 67 Republicans who voted ‘no’ to the Hurricane Sandy relief bill, calling them “a bunch of jacka*ses.” D’Amato joins a bunch of former and current senators, governors, mayors, and more in expressing the anger and disappointment to the Republicans who are denying Hurricane Sandy victims any sign of relief 65+ days after the storm hit. The money in the Hurricane Sandy relief bill will only be used to the ailing federal flood insurance program to pay the claims of Sandy victims. Surprisingly many of the Republicans who voted no on the bill are from states that got hit by Hurricane Katrina such as Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, Rep. Steven Palazzo of Biloxi, Miss., Rep. John Fleming of Louisiana, and Reps. Ted Yoho and Ron DeSantis of Florida and former Vice President nominee Paul Ryan. One of the best ways to make sure the Republicans change their mind is to call them and express your anger and disappointment. $9.7 Billion Approved For The Hurricane Sandy Relief Aid

The House finally approved on the aid, almost two months after the storm and only a day after John Boehner was voted back in office as House Speaker. Boehner being the guy who made the decision to delay the vote earlier this week. “It’s the right step,” said Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, R-N.J., a member of the House Appropriations Committee. This aid with assist in the pay-out of insurance claims for home as well as business owners whose property was wrecked during the storm. People of course are still waiting on claim checks from the storm. “They’re sleeping in rented rooms on cots somewhere, and they’re not happy. They want to get their lives back on track, and it’s cold outside. They see no prospect of relief,” said Rep. Frank LoBiondo, R-N.J., whose district includes Atlantic City. Let’s hope now that people can get their lives back to normal now that this has been approved. Drop down bottom for more. JaaiR (JR)
