Sgt. James Brown turned Himself in for a 2 day sentence, doing the ‘right thing’, but at the time of turning himself in he put in writing that he suffered from PTSD. He then called his mother to tell her they were trying to keep him for 7 days instead of 2 and he asked her to come pay the fine so he could get out of there, but by the time she came down the next day, he was dead.

(Photos) NBA: Damian Lillard Joins Other NBA Stars & Wears “I Can’t Breathe” Shirt

Sometimes it takes one brave person to inspire many more and that is what Derrick Rose did.  A simple act from an otherwise quiet player helped push other big names in the NBA to take a stand and support Eric Garner.  After Rose wore the shirt LeBron James said he wanted one too which led to an elaborate plan between him, Jay Z, the Justice League NYC and the Brooklyn Nets to wear the shirts during the Cavaliers game against the Nets at Barclays Center in front of the Royal Family.  Following that, Kobe Bryant and members of the Los Angeles Lakers donned the shirts as well.  Latest to support the cause, Damian Lillard joins other NBA stars in voicing his opinion and supporting the cause.

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose kicked things off by taking a stand and wearing a “I Can’t Breathe” shirt during warmups of the Bulls game against the Golden State Warriors. That’s all anyone needed to hear and of course there was a race to make sure the best and one of the most visible player’s in the NBA received a shirt. Sure enough during the Cavaliers next game, LeBron was wearing the shirt but he wasn’t the only one. Deron Williams, Kevin Garnett, Jarrett Jack and Alan Anderson of the Brooklyn Nets all donned the “I Can’t Breathe” shirt as well. All this happened during the Cavaliers game against the Nets at the Barclays Center with the Royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in attendance. Also there was rap mogul Jay Z and his wife Beyonce. Jay Z took a picture with the Nets and some criticized him for not wearing the shirt as well but it turns out he helped make the whole thing happen
