(Video) NBA: Chauncey Billups Said Some of His Teammates ‘Played Better’ While High on Marijuana

Legalization of marijuana has been a major debate in the country as more states are legalizing medical marijuana, and some going even further as to legalize recreational use.  Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr admitted to using marijuana to deal with chronic back pain, and it has opened the conversation to the positive effect it could have on players.  While on ESPN’s NBA Countdown this past Friday, Chauncey Billups said he wanted some of his former teammates to play while high on marijuana because it actually “helped them focus in on the gameplan.”

As you know, it’s tradition for championship teams to visit the White House.  Today (Nov. 10) the Cleveland Cavaliers are scheduled to visit the White House with Barack Obama.  Jalen Rose and others suspect it will be the last team a full team makes the visit for at least the next four years.

That was awkward… Chris Webber gets testy when you ask him about Jalen Rose, especially after Rose’s autobiography: “Got To Give The People What They Want: True Stories and Flagrant Opinions From Center Court” and the 30 for 30: “Fab Five” documentary (which is very good btw) produced by each member of the transcendent University of Michigan group except for Webber. Both pieces document Webber’s infamous timeout and instead of addressing the elephant in the room, Webber opts to avoid in awkard ways.


NBA: Jalen Rose Goes Off On Chris Webber Over His Comments Regarding The Fab Five Documentary

Earlier this week, Chris Webber made waves during his appearance on the Dan Patrick Show. While discussing the 30 for 30 documentary on The Fab Five, which he was not involved in after reportedly being contacted about participating about a week before they were finished with the film. Webber was willing to be a part of the doc, even though admitting he’s been working on a book for five years that will tell his side of the story.

Rick Ross is a big Miami Heat fan, so much so that he tattooed the Heat logo on his face.  Ross was so confident in his squad that he bet NBA analyst and former player Jalen Rose, $100K that the Heat would be better than the Cleveland Cavaliers this season even though LeBron James left the former for the latter.  According to Rose however, Ross got nervous about the bet during the Christmas Day game where the two teams met for the first time this season.  Even though the Heat beat the Cavs, Ross was reportedly not too impressed with his squad.
