Cash Money Records Forced To Pay $1 Million For Jay Sean Hit Records

Cash Money just got hit where it hurts the most..their wallets! They will now have to pay for a bunch of old Jay Sean records.

Cash Money Owes Over $1 Million To Jay Sean

Singer Jay Sean began his career on Cash Money back in 2008, and released his first album on the label in 2009, All or Nothing. He’s since left the label (like just about everyone else), and later filed a lawsuit to collect royalties that Birdman and co. owed him. A judge has now determined that Cash Money has to pay out $1.14 million in royalties to Orange Factory Music, who continued to receive statements for royalty payments from Jay’s album, but never actually saw a check. Just add this to the growing list of lawsuits against YMCMB!

Cash Money Sued AGAIN For Unpaid Production Royalties?!

A production company by the name of OFM, claiming that they are responsible for 8 tracks on Jay Sean’s 2009 album said it’s time for Cash Money to cough it up! Although Jay Sean is no longer with Cash Money Records as of recently, the label still owes the Orange Factory Music Company for royalty payments for the successful work done on the “All Or Nothing” album. The music company obtained a check for $211,000, but are seaking a whopping $1 million for the back up in royalties!
