(Video) NBA: Jeff Van Gundy Shared An Incredible Story About O.J. Simpson & The 1994 NBA Finals

I have no clue if there is any truth to this story but it’s so amazing I don’t think most people will care. It’s unlikely that Jeff Van Gundy randomly made up a story about the day of the O.J. Simpson chase back in 1994 but it is possible he was just messing with viewers of game four of the NBA Finals last night. He claims the reason Simpson made his friend Al Cowlings drive so slow during that infamous police chase was because O.J. wanted to hear the rest of the NBA Finals game on the radio that night between the Knicks & Rockets!

NBA: Rumor: Jeff Van Gundy Interested In The New Orleans Pelican Coaching Vacancy

Jeff Van Gundy, who last coached the Houston Rockets more than 10 years ago, is reportedly interested in the New Orlean Pelicans head coaching job. Monty Williams was fired at the end of season, even after he lead the young Pelicans team to the playoffs during a season that saw the roster face an array of injuries.

(Video) NBA: LOL Jeff Van Gundy Imitates James Harden Doing the ‘Cooking Dance’

If you’re in the hip hop world then you’re already well familiar with the cooking dance.  It was reportedly started by Lil B but now almost everyone is doing it.  While it may have different meanings (which I won’t get into), in basketball we know somebody that’s “cooking” is doing work, performing well on the court.  James Harden started doing the cooking dance on the court after hitting a shot and now the basketball world has named it his official celebration.  On Sunday the Houston Rockets beat the Washington Wizards 99-91 and ESPN color commentator Jeff Van Gundy was on hand to provide us with sideline entertainment.

(Video) NBA: Jeff Van Gundy’s Got Jokes About Derrick Rose’s Knees & His Son

Funny, but not funny?!  Some fans were upset and of course some fans laughed at it.  Yesterday during the Knicks/Bulls game Derrick Rose was shown with his ADORABLE son PJ & Jeff Van Gundy had jokes.  Check it out…

NBA: While Defending Doc Rivers Jeff Van Gundy Admits He Regrets Quitting as the Knicks Head Coach

Being the head coach of the New York Knicks is no easy task.  The media in New York is harsher than most (not homers), the fans are overly expectant and the scrutiny is high.  Still Jeff Van Gundy stuck it out for many years and was regarded as one of the best coaches in the league before he finally decided to walk away from the Knicks.  While speaking on Doc Rivers decision to leave the Celtics and coach the Clippers, Van Gundy looked back at the decision he made and says it’s something he still regrets.  Read more after the jump.

NBA:(Video) Brooklyn Nets Want Jeff Van Gundy As Coach??

After the Nets were knocked out of the playoffs by the Bulls in the first round, they let go of interim coach P.J. Carlesimo and started their new coach search. Phil Jackson said no, the Celtics refused to give permission to talk to Doc Rivers. They are hoping they won’t get a third strike and then be really scrambling for a coach. Reports have surfaced that they have spoken with former NBA coach and current ESPN analyst Jeff Van Gundy. I think it would be a great hire. Van Gundy has proven he can handle coaching superstar players, even though I am not sure right now if Deron Williams is considered a superstar. He would have no problem handling the spotlight and the media pressure that comes from being in New York. The Nets in my opinion also need to upgrade their roster, because the team they have now will never come close to winning a championship. Hopefully it will work out for them and Van Gundy. It is always nice to know you have a coach who ain’t scared to jump in a fight, lol. Check the videos after the jump.

During the nationally televised game between the Lakers and Thunder on Sunday, Jeff Van Gundy thought it would be a good time to go on a nice Dwight Howard rant. He may have a point, but was it appropriate to do?  I wonder what Dwight thinks…cause you know he loves that Van Gundy family! Check out what he had to say & let us know what you think…
