(Photos) John Singleton’s Son Sets Up GoFundMe To Raise At Least 6k To Pay For Tuition Since His Dad Cut Him Off

John Singleton’s son Maasai Singleton has set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to pay for his final semester of college at the University of Southern California after his dad told him he wouldn’t be paying for it. Since the college school year is right in the middle, it is too late for him to receive financial aid and he says he has no credit to take out loans. With just a few weeks until his semester is to begin the young director (just like his dad) decided to post an update to ask for more donations. Maasai Singleton has to raise at least $6k to remain enrolled. Listen to his story after the jump!

Opening Night Of The Tupac Shakur Exhibit Brought Out Afeni Shakur, YG, John Singleton & More

The Tupac Shakur Exhibit is on display for the world to see; almost. The public’s eyes can touch down on All Eyez on Me: The Writings of Tupac Shakur, beginning April 22. However, some were allowed to view the precious artifacts of the late great west coast rapper, a little sooner. Pac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, his sister Sekyiwa Shakur and stepbrother Mopreme Shakur were among the audience members who viewed the Q&A panel session with YG, John Singleton, Chuck D, Cheo Coker and more well-known associates of the rapper. Including ‘recollections and insights’ of Tupac, was the conversation of when Singleton would release the highly anticipated biopic on the skillful artist. “Tupac’s soul would come back and haunt my ass if it wasn’t done right,” he says on taking his time with the masterpiece. “His journey was so specific, but it affected billions of people.” True. Great work takes time. I can wait for this one. “There’s no need for you to fear me, if you take your time to hear me, maybe you can learn to cheer me.” – Tupac Shakur More on the Tupac Shakur exhibit down bottom.
