NBA: Was Kobe’s Injury Partially His Fault or Mike D’Antoni’s? Phil Jackson Gives His Opinion

When Kobe went down with a torn achilles during the Lakers game against the Warriors a debate brewed as to who should take the blame.  Sometimes you just can’t prevent injuries, things happen but that wasn’t Kobe’s first injury of the night.  Kobe injured his knee and foot earlier in the game and was already fatigued from playing every minute without resting.  Despite each injury looking worse than the one before it, he still remained in the game.  So is it Kobe’s fault for refusing to leave the game or is it D’Antoni’s fault for not forcing Kobe to sit?  Former Lakers coach Phil Jackson gave his thoughts.  Read more after the jump.

I made the announcement that Kobe joined Instagram and it didn’t take long for him to give us an inside look at his life.  Last night Kobe went down with a devastating injury during the LA Lakers game against the Golden State Warriors.  Kobe said he felt a pop and was practically certain that he tore his achilles.  Still the Lakers had to have an MRI done today and the results are in.  Read more after the jump.

Kobe had a pretty rough night after tearing his achille’s and ending his season.  He let out a heartfelt rant on Facebook in the middle of the night and today he’s finally joined Instagram! Not just Laker fans but the world held their breath when Kobe Bryant went down last night during the Lakers game against the Warriors.  Even more panic struck when the news made it’s rounds that he suffered a torn achilles which might be a career ending injury for other ballers at Kobe’s age but no not the Black Mamba.  Basketball fans and Kobe himself absolutely refuse for him to go out like this, this is no way to end such a legendary career.  Last night while everyone else finally began to digest the news and settle in, Kobe was of course still angry and uneasy.  He let his frustrations and emotions out through this Facebook rant to share the feelings with his fans but to also let everyone know he wasn’t giving up.  Read more after the jump.

Kobe Bryant went above and beyond and did everything he possibly could to get the Lakers into that final playoff spot including playing an astonishing 48 minutes a game.  Last night the Lakers and the Warriors played a dogfight of a game.  Kobe injured his knees twice in the game but continued to come back absolutely refusing to hit the bench.  Then unfortunately he felt a pop and went down for good.  Read more after the jump.
