The Date Mendeecees Has To Turn Himself In Has Been Revealed!
We’ve known for some time now that Mendeecees Harris is going to do an 8-year bid for drug trafficking, but every week, he’s still popping up on our TV screens on Love & Hip-Hop, and hosting parties in between time. Many fans have been bugging him on Instagram, asking when he is required to turn himself in, and now we finally have the answer! Bossip reports that Harris is supposed to turn himself on Tuesday, January 19 to the Allenwood Low federal prison in Pennsylvania. However, his legal team has submitted a new request to have him moved to Otisville federal prison in New York. The latter is only an hour-and-a-half from where Yandy and the kids live, as opposed to the former with four hours, making it much easier for the babies to visit.

As if Yandy doesn’t have enough on her plate from dealing with Mendeecees, there is MORE! If you’ve been paying attention to this season of Love & Hip-Hop: New York, there was a scene where Yandy and Mendeecees are talking about his “four kids” he’ll have to leave behind when he serves his prison bid for drug trafficking. Now he has two children with Yandy and his oldest son Mendeecees Jr. from a previous relationship awhile ago. Where did the fourth kid come from, though?!

Despite trying to turn his life around, following a troubled past of drug trafficking, Love and Hip Hop:NY star Mendeecees Harris was sentenced Tuesday, to eight years behind bars. Shortly after the news of his sentence was delivered, Mendeecees took to his Instagram to write a heartfelt statement to family, friends, and fans, asking them to use his life as an example to do better. Feds Ask Judge To Go Easy On Mendeecees In Drug Sentence
Love & Hip-Hop star Mendeecees Harris is currently out on bond from a major drug trafficking case, and he will soon be going for sentencing. As we’ve seen on the show, he has turned his life around and is a family man with wife Yandy Smith and their children, but his past could certainly catch up with him! According to a new report, though, Federal prosecutors are working with him, and they’ve asked the judge to go easy and sentence him with no more than 10 years. He was originally looking at upwards of 40 along with a $5 million fine, so even though it still sounds bad, it’s definitely not as bad as it could have been! Prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office recommended he serves between 108 months and 121 months, noting he deserved a break because he admitted his role in the drug ring and cooperated with authorities on the terms of his plea deal. They also want him to forfeit his earnings from the show – $171k. He goes for sentencing October 2. Good luck!
