Lin Manuel Miranda’s ‘Hamilton’ Mixtape Will Nas, Alicia Keys, Chance The Rapper + More [Tracklist]

Lin Manuel Miranda has been crafting a mixtape to go along with his hugely successfully Broadway musical, Hamilton, for some time. As the play in inspired by hip-hop, it would only make sense to have some dope music to go along with it, and this tape is sure to not disappoint! Taking to Twitter today, Miranda revealed the 23-song tracklist, and it features everyone from Nas to Dave East, Chance the Rapper, The Roots, Busta Rhymes, Usher, Sia, Alicia Keys, Ashanti, Jill Scott, Wiz Khalifa, John Legend and more! This passed weekend was the REVOLT Music Conference, which brought industry leaders and a host of hip-hop elites to Miami together for a three-day series of panels, performances, and networking events. Last night was the annual Gala dinner and Diddy awarded Nas with the Jimmy Iovine Icon Award, calling Nasir Jones a “true example of Black excellence.”

Last night, Nas appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! for an interview, and brought out Erykah Badu to perform “This Land” later on in the show. The collab is from their movie The Land, that was released over the summer. During the interview portion, Nas spoke on investigating, new music, the mural recently painted to honor him in his hometown of Queensbridge and more! Check out all of the clips below.

Nas has repped Queensbridge since he got his start in the game, and his hood is showing him the love right back with a brand new mural. Yesterday, fellow QB native Havoc (of Mobb Deep) took to Instagram to share a picture of the mural, captioning it:

“#Queensbridge they just gave a long time friend from the hood a mural! He earned every last bit of that! @nas”

The artwork was a collaboration between 4 artists – Eli Eos (who curated the painting as well,) Jorit Agoch, Lawrence “Myse” Hosannah,and FCEE. It’s amazing! If you want to see the mural in person, it’s located on the corner of 40th Ave and 21st St. in Queens. If not, you can always just check out the pics below!
