NBA: Kevin Durant Is Upset Social Media Turned His MVP Speech Into A Joke

Kevin Durant has a message for fans on social media. Stop thinking his MVP speech was the appropriate thing to make a joke out of. KD is dead serious about this by the way and you can tell it really bothered him. I am so glad he is saying this because yes, I understand it’s fine to make light hearted jokes out of things, but making a joke out of an emotional thing just for the sake of being funny is what is wrong with social media., amongst many other things.

(Photos) NBA: Kevin Durant & Russell Westbrook Seem To Be Happy Reggie Jackson Was Traded

As fans we never quite know sometimes just how friendly or non-friendly teammates in sports are with each other. Sure it seems like everything is fine from the outside, but you never know. According to reports, everything in OKC wasn’t too cool regarding Reggie Jackson and some of his now former teammates. There is no doubt trading Jackson was better for everyone involved, but KD & Russell Westbrook kinda threw some shots towards him which leads you to believe there were other reasons behind the trade besides just basketball.

NBA: Russell Westbrook Gives The Best Answer Ever Regarding Why He Won’t Do Dunk Contest!

Everyone can agree the dunk contest during all star weekend has lost some of it’s luster due to the lack of star names taking part in the event and the fact that so many dunks have been done already so, it’s more and more difficult to get creative. With that said, I think we would all agree about wishing Russell Westbrook would take part, with his freakish athleticism and dunking power. We can dream, but Russ makes it clear it will never happen, but his reason is awesome!

NBA: Kevin Durant Says Any Player Who Wants His All Star Spot Can Play Him One-On-One For It

When Damian Lillard and DeMarcus Cousins were initially left off the western conference all star team, some people were upset saying they got snubbed and some other players didn’t deserve the spot. The players they were mainly referring to were Kevin Durant & Russell Westbrook who both have obvious all star talent, but missed some games due to injury during the first half of the season. Cousins was eventually added by the commissioner, but Lillard was still one of a few deserving players left off. Don’t expect KD to feel too bad about being selected because he knows he is one of the best in the world regardless and issued a challenge to any player who wants his spot.

Kevin Durant is making sure his name stays in the highlights. Couple nights ago he had an angry posterizing dunk over Wizards Marcin Gortat, but he wasn’t satisfied with that because he just went coast to coast against the Hawks and threw it down with some more anger. The Thunder look like they are about to get on a roll, but are currently locked in a tight game with the Hawks.

(Video) NBA: Not In My House – Durant Shows NO Mercy To Kid With This Block!

Kevin Durant spent last summer at a basketball camp, teaching little kids the ins and outs on the sport that he clearly loves. Well, a clip from a one-on-one session between KD and one of the little guys has now gone viral. OKC’s Kevin Durant definitely let us know that Ball IS Life and he’ll be taking shorts from NO ONE, after monstrously blocking the little guy’s shot. If I was the kid, I would be scarred for life LOL…hit the jump to check out the MERCILESS block heard all through the gym!
