(Video) dvsn Brings Out Drake & Majid Jordan At Special ‘September 5th’ Show In Houston

Last night, OVO Sound dvsn (comprised of singer Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85,) put on their first headlining show in one of their OVO boss’ favorite cities, Houston. The date, September 5, was significant, as it is the same name as their debut project that was released earlier this year. Both Drake and Majid Jordan were surprise guests – which doesn’t come as much of a surprise, since everyone knew that Drake was in town for his Summer Sixteen tour stop the night before. Check out videos from the night below.

PartyNextDoor Is Back After Deleting His Twitter With A Cryptic Tweet

PartyNextDoor put out his long awaited P3 project this summer, but it got a lukewarm reception at best. In an interview with Rolling Stone last month, the OVO singer revealed that he wasn’t happy at all, particularly after giving Drake and Rihanna such a “moment” with the song “Work,” and not having one for himself.

(Photos) Did Drake & iLoveMakonnen Have A Bad Run-In This Weekend?

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that iLoveMakonnen was no longer signed to Drake’s OVO Sound label. The “Tuesday” singer released a statement thanking Drake and the whole crew for everything they’d done for him, assuring that there was nothing but love in the decision to separate. He was a little less amicable on social media, however. Via Snapchat, Makonnen joked that he was dropped from OVO because it stands for “Overweight Only” and he’d lost weight, while also acting like he couldn’t remember the name of “that dumb ass album with the sky sh*t,” aka Nothing Was The Same. He later assured fans it was just jokes and there’s nothing but love, but apparently Drake didn’t get that memo.

Back in October, Drake debuted new ink on his shoulder. “bbk” stands as a dedication to UK rapper Skepta’s label, Boy Better Know, as the pair have gotten close in the last year or so. Now Skepta has returned the favor, tattooing the OVO owl on him. “From Toronto with solid bullet proof love,” he wrote with a photo of the tat. Check it out in the gallery.

(Video) Mike Zombie Talks New Project, OVO + More On Ebro In The Morning

Producer/rapper Mike Zombie will release his next solo project, Humble Genius, on July 1. In promotion of the album, the New Jersey native stopped by Ebro In The Morning this week. Most people know Mike for his production, as he had his breakout moment producing Drake’s “Started From The Bottom” and was immediately signed to OVO Sound. He went on to produce more hits, including DJ Khaled’s “They Don’t Love You No More” with French Montana, Jay Z and Meek Mill, plus Remy Ma on the remix – her first verse after being released from prison! Now Mike is both producing and rapping, and speaks to Ebro In The Morning about balancing both, his relationship with OVO, my stellar taste in music 🙂 and more!
