Finally a law that makes sense, the first new law in California and Illinois bans employers to ask for Facebook passwords. Congress now considers the matter asking for the password illegal, and says asking for it is invasion of privacy for the employee. Reuters also reports that the law is not only made for Facebook but all social media platforms, but at the moment no word on if other states will join in on the ban party. We will keep you posted. California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill this week banning employers to ask for employees for their Facebook passwords. It would make asking for passwords illegal.
