Vince Staples Launches Tech-Based Youth Institute in North Long Beach
Vince Staples has partnered up with the Greater Long Beach YMCA to launch a tech-based institute for neighborhood youth. The Long Beach, California native has been working with the community to ensure that the youth have more options to succeed, in doing so they have created The Youth Institute (YI) in North Long Beach. It will take place at Hamilton Middle School in an effort to give youth more summer learning options in eighth and ninth grades. Starting today [June 20], 20 students will be taught filmmaking, graphic design, music production, 3D printing and product design to teach them high-end technology literacy skills.
The Institute Of Hip-Hop Entrepreneurship Is Opening In Philly
Little Giant Branding agency co-founder Tayib Smith (the man in the photo above) is set to open The Institute of Hip-Hop Entrepreneurship in Philadelphia this fall. There, students will be able to sign up for nine-week programs, where they’ll learn through hands-on experience from some of the best entrepreneurs, musicians and technologists in the business. There will be no lectures, no standardized testing – and no grades. Instead, students will learn to be able to pitch their business ideas to investors.

Amber Rose Lands Dr. Phil-Produced Talk Show On VH1
This summer is about to be a hot one! Amber Rose has just announced that she has her very own talk show coming to VH1, and in an interesting twist, it will be produced by Dr. Phil, and his son Jay McGraw. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The format will feature Amb conducting casual interviews with “celebrity friends” and hosting discussions on pop culture, motherhood, relationships, friendships, race and entrepreneurship.
