The dust from free agency is beginning to settle and the last set of big names are agreeing to contracts.  The latest is Rajon Rondo who has agreed to a two-year deal with the Chicago Bulls.

Rondo is a Kentucky guy, as is Kings big man and franchise cornerstone DeMarcus Cousins — and Rondo sees a lot of himself in Cousins. The challenging temperament that can have coaches, teammates and fans oscillating between love and extreme frustration.  Rondo was guided through that by teammates such as Kevin Garnett and coach Doc Rivers, now Rondo wants to pay that forward to Cousins.

Rajon Rondo and the Dallas Mavericks had a pretty bitter divorce last season.  He clashed with head coach Rick Carlisle, the team made up a nonexistent injury as the reason for ditching him in the middle of a playoff series, and he didn’t even get a share of the additional cash they received for making the postseason.  In any event, Rondo is now with the Sacramento Kings and made his first trip back to Dallas on Tuesday night for their game against the Mavericks.  Rondo couldn’t get revenge on his former team on the court as he sat out with back spasms so he tried to do what he could from the sideline.


NBA: Referee Reveals He’s Gay After Rajon Rondo Suspended For Calling Him ‘F**king Faggot’

Rajon Rondo has been trying to rehab his image but it took another major blow.  The Sacramento Kings point guard was suspended for one-game after an investigation revealed he launched homophobic slurs at an NBA referee.  That veteran referee Bill Kennedy has now come out to the public, revealing that he is gay.

The Kings beat the Knicks last night 99-97, thanks in part to an ill advised, forced shot from Carmelo that fell short at the buzzer. Earlier in the night, Melo did his best to avoid getting put on a poster courtesy of a dunk from Rajon Rondo. It was allegedly Rondo’s first dunk in three years. Melo’s teammate, Robin Lopez, was not so lucky. He got destroyed by a ferocious dunk at the hands of DeMarcus Cousins.
