He accomplished many things wearing his original #8 jersey but he also enhanced his hall of fame resume while wearing #24. He won three rings with his old number but won two more, plus an MVP award wearing his father’s old number of 24. Shaq was alongside Kobe during the “8” days and he does not believe both numbers should be retired, he thinks only his original jersey should be retired.
