Well that didn’t work out as Mercer pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the tournament by beating Duke. Fans flooded White’s twitter with comments about honoring the bet that he made. Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White found himself in some hot water after he backtracked on a bet he made on Twitter. After Duke was upset by Mercer in the NCAA tournament, White owed a fan Falcons season tickets. White however said he would only give the fan tickets to one game and explained why he decided to do so. That didn’t stop Twitter from attacking him but White ending up getting support from someone no one expected; it was from the fan himself.
