NBA: Kevin Durant Responds To The Photographer Vest Russell Westbrook Denies Had Anything To Do With Him

When Kevin Durant isn’t terrorizing opposing defenses on the court, one of the things he enjoys most is photography. He famously had the opportunity to be an on field photographer during Super Bowl 50 and he loved every second of it. So when Russell Westbrook showed up to Oracle arena in Oakland last night for the Thunder’s matchup with the Warriors coincidentally dressed as a photographer, many people assumed it was a shot at Durant. Despite the topic completely taking over social media, Russell said it was all for not and his fashion choice had nothing to do with KD.

NBA: Sixers Fan Apologized For Flipping Off Russell Westbrook But Claims He Commented About His Weight First

The Philadelphia Sixers fan who got his 15 minutes of fame after giving Russell Westbrook double middle fingers on national television has now apologized, somewhat. Richard Harkaway gave Russ the double birds early in the Sixers game against OKC on Wednesday, after Russ converted a basket and was fouled. He wound up near the baseline right in front of fans when he was “saluted” with the middle fingers, which led to him looking astonished and wondering if fans can even instigate with a player like that.

The Philadelphia 76ers played their first game of the season on Wednesday night, and unfortunately for them, it ended like many others, in a loss.  The Oklahoma City Thunder won the game 103-97.  Russell Westbrook had a near triple-double with a game-high 32 points, along with 12 rebounds, and 9 assists.  One Sixers fan was not happy with the Thunder star and threw up his middle fingers.

I still remember July 4th when Kevin Durant posted the first-person article on The Player’s Tribune announcing that he was leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors.  I remember checking Russell Westbrook’s social media to see if the outspoken guard said anything about losing his partner in crime.   I also remember seeing the picture of the cupcakes he posted, thinking it was his way of showing he’s unbothered.  Well, it turns out I was wrong.

Since July 4, 2016, the day Kevin Durant declared his independence from the Oklahoma City Thunder, we’ve read and heard various reports about why he chose the Warriors, how Russell Westbrook factored into the decision, and even derogatory remarks about Durant’s personality.  Durant officially went from one of the nicest, most loved stars, to a villain in the league.  In a cover story for Rolling Stone, Durant delved into his childhood, his experiences and gave the most in depth look into a decision that changed the face of the NBA.
