(Video) NBA: Russell Westbrook And Marc Gasol Got Into An Altercation During Their Preseason Game

Russell Westbrook and Marc Gasol have had run-ins in the past but those games actually mattered so it’s easy to understand the competitive juices of each player getting the best of them. Last night was a meaningless preseason game and the two players still had to be separated before a real fight may have broke out.

(Video) NBA: Russell Westbrook Responds to Kevin Durant Saying Warriors Are ‘Family & Selfless’

The NBA season is almost in full swing and one major topic you’ll hear about ad nauseam is a media created feud between Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.  Durant chose the Golden State Warriors in free agency, leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder and his “brother” Westbrook behind.  Since Durant announced his decision, the media continually asks both KD and Westbrook about each other. Warriors CEO Joe Lacob brought Durant and Andre Iguodala with him for an awards ceremony for the team, and during the presser, Durant talked about why he chose the Warriors.

NBA: Russell Westbrook Says European Offenses are ’10 Times Better Than NBA Offense’

European teams/players are known for having good offenses and not so great defenses.  Kobe Bryant, who grew up in Italy, said European players are more skillful.  After getting a split against Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in preseason games, Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook gave a big compliment to the Europeans.  The Thunder allowed 142 points against Real Madrid in Monday’s exhibition opener.

NBA: Michael Jordan Will Introduce Russell Westbrook At The Oklahoma Hall Of Fame

After Kevin Durant was inducted into the Oklahoma hall of fame last year, it was widely assumed he would be back this year to present Russell Westbrook. He even mentioned last year that “hopefully we’ll be here next year for Russell Westbrook’s induction.” Obviously he is no longer in position to take part in something special for Russ and Oklahoma but I think Russ will be pretty happy with the person they found to present him instead, Michael Jordan.

NBA: Kendrick Perkins Claims KD & Russell Westbrook Didn’t Value Each Other And Will Regret It

Kendrick Perkins was part of an emotional trade that sent him to the Thunder from the Boston Celtics for a deal that included Jeff Green heading to Boston. The trade reportedly left Kevin Durant in tears, as he was close with Green and that was his first real reminder that the NBA is a business. With that said, it allowed Perkins to be around KD & Russell Westbrook as they grew together into the superstars that they both now are. He had some interesting comments on their relationship during his appearance on “The Vertical Podcast”, mainly referring to how the two players never appreciated each other the way they should’ve and how they will regret it ten years from now.

NBA: Russell Westbrook Is Ready To Make A Stand On Social Issues

The Oklahoma City Thunder held their media day yesterday and as you might expect, Russell Westbrook was faced with questions about Kevin Durant more than anyone. While he didn’t seem to enthused answering questions about that topic, one thing you could see he was happy to talk about was the social issues plaguing our country. With the shooting deaths by police this week of Terence Crutcher in Tulsa, Ok and Keith Lamont Scott in Charlotte, NC, communities nationwide are on edge and that is something Russ wants to deal with head on.
