Kim Kardashian released Selfish earlier this year, a coffee table book full of selfies that the famous reality star has taken throughout the years. There were even some nude photos sprinkled in there, but apparently that wasn’t enough to make the book a success. According to Nielsen Bookscan, the book has only sold 32,000 copies since its release in May. To put that in perspective, that means only 0.8% of Kim’s 41 million Instagram followers purchased it, despite the relentless promotion. As far as ranking, it currently sits at number 1,607 on the book charts, and given only 2.5 stars. However, let’s not jump the gun and call it a total flop. Perhaps the market isn’t as big for coffee table books, and maybe this is actually a relative success in that genre? Who knows! Either way, I’m sure Kim isn’t losing any sleep over this one.
