(Photo) State Trooper Files Lawsuit Against Dept Over Pic With Snoop Dogg

Billy Spears, Department of Public Safety Trooper, took a photo with Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion while he was working off-duty security at SXSW in Texas. Snoop posted the picture on his Instagram with the caption “Me and my deputy dogg” and Spears boss went out of his way to make sure he was disciplined for the photo. Well, on Wednesday, April 29th, Spears filed a civil lawsuit for unspecified damages and a trail by jury.

(Video + Photos) Steve Carrell & Jim Carrey At SXSW Movie Release!!!

Jim Carrey has recently come out of hibernation to star alongside Steve Carrell and Olivia Wilde in ‘The Incredible Burt Wonderstone’, which was released at SXSW this weekend. The movie’s description is “Las Vegas magician Burt Wonderstone (Carrell) as he attempts to reunite with his former partner Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi) to take on dangerous street magician Steve Gray (Carrey).” Sounds like wherever there is a combination of Steve Carrell and Jim Carrey, the movie has to be hilarious. Just when concert goers and press thought they’d make it out of the Northeast right in the nick of time for SXSW, they got hit where it hurts–flight delays. And the North isn’t the only area with bad weather; Austin, which is ALWAYS sunny, is pouring rain and is forecasted to do so all weekend. Last night 50 Cent, as part of SXSW’s Shady showcase, surprised fans with an appearance from Slim Shady himself. Em joined Fif on stage to perform  my favorite of their collabs, “Patiently Waiting.” Fif performed his album Get Rich Or Die Trying in it’s entirety for the first time at the festival.
