Barclays Center Is Now Home To TIDAL Theater Through New Sponsorship Deal

Just one week after TIDAL’s benefit concert TIDAL X: 1020, an exclusive interview with Billboard reports that the Barclays Center Theater will now be the official concert space for TIDAL. The space previously known as Cushman & Wakefield Theater was renamed today and will carry on being known as the Tidal Theatre. According to reports, “the deal is unique in that it is believed to be the first time a digital content company has come in as a sponsor for a live performance venue.” Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark said,

“As evidenced by [Tidal X: 1020] the other night, Tidal, when they want to, can put on some big time events, and we anticipate having quite a few here at Barclays Center,” Yormark said. “It’s just another strategic alliance that I think helps to advance the content business here at Barclays Center, and we’re very excited about it.”
