NBA: ‘Space Jam’ Director Says LeBron James & Stephen Curry Aren’t Michael Jordan

The 20th anniversary of the cult classic Space Jam passed just a couple of days ago on Nov. 15.  In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Joe Pytka talks about the first movie, which athlete he turned down who asked to make a sequel, and why LeBron James and Stephen Curry can’t fill Michael Jordan’s shoes although LeBron is set to star in Space Jam 2.

Ray Allen announced his retirement on Tuesday.  The 41-year old legend played in the NBA for 18 years, was a 10-time All-Star, two-time NBA champion, and is the all-time leader in three-pointers made with 2,973.  Players around the league have been reacting to the sharpshooter’s departure, but it holds special significance to Stephen Curry as he now knows exactly what number he needs to pass.

The Golden State Warriors absolutely demolished the Los Angeles Clippers 120-75 on Monday night.  Things definitely didn’t go well for Clippers guard Austin Rivers who finished with 1 point, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.  Rivers went 0-of-4 from the three-point line, including this missed open three that led to laughs from Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green who were sitting on the bench during the Warriors big lead.


NBA: Stephen Curry Optimistic He Will Re-Sign With Warriors in Free Agency

If there was any doubt that Stephen Curry would re-sign with the Golden State Warriors, he put that to bed during media day.  The sharpshooter made it clear that he intends to stay with the western conference champions.  With all these big contracts recently signed, it’s been pointed out over and over again that Curry’s contract was significantly less considering his talent, but that contract was signed long ago before the MVPs when his ankle was still fragile.  The Warriors have a chance now to make that up and there’s no doubt that they will.
