NFL network’s “A Football Life” aired last night with the episode being about Baltimore Ravens receiver, Steve Smith. While the show touched on numerous things during Smith’s soon to be hall of fame career, one of the highlights from it was when he talked about the last few years of his time with the Panthers and how it coincided with the arrival of Cam Newton and how they just could never get along with each other.
Baltimore Ravens star Steve Smith ripped into Giants kicker Josh Brown over his domestic violence incidents with his now ex-wife that became public this week. Smith didn’t stop there however, he also called out the NFL for a broken system of how they deal with issues of domestic violence involving their players and he was 100% right about both.
Defensive end Greg Hardy did a one-on-one interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter. In the interview, Hardy reiterated his innocence and said that he never put his hands on any woman ever in his life. Schefter questioned him about the pictures of his former girlfriend Nicole Holder who looked abused and Hardy implied they were doctored or he was defending himself, I don’t know. In any event, Hardy’s former teammate Steve Smith Sr. posted an excerpt of the transcript from the interview and called Hardy out. Smith played with Hardy for four seasons (2010 to 2013) with the Carolina Panthers.
Steve Smith never had any f*cks to give! He will say what he wants, when he wants and apparently the NFL will just deal with it. After the Ravens win over the Steelers, Smith wasn’t as happy as you might think. He was knocked out of the game by a clean hit from Mike Mitchell and wanted to make it clear Mitchell is now on his “lifetime hitlist”.
Steve Smith’s dislike of the New Orleans Saints didn’t disappear when he left the NFC South. The longtime Carolina Panthers receiver, now with the Baltimore Ravens, nearly started a full-team brawl Monday night when he and Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro got into it along the Ravens’ sideline.
